Sounds good Andy
We pumped the upper pond to hunting level 2 weeks ago--tested the 'ice pump' and it looks like we will have open water there regardless of weather
Timber hole has a major gumbo bottom so we repaired the pallet walkway which makes getting in the blind much easier and since someone usually gets stuck and falls--drier
then set the well and pump to work on the lower timber blind--
The calculations said we had to pump for 5 to 7 days at 400 gallons a minute
(you can do the math but it is a lot of water )
About half the decoys are out--will add the rest around Vet's Day
A lot of work just to not shoot ducks
Wingman and another knothead will be up there this afternoon-- they will put any ducks to bed and I am sure to get a call with the report and any prognostications for the am
They will have breakfast ready for the faithful tomorrow morning and have the coffee pots working over time
I'll run up there tomorrow morning for a cup of coffee before walking out to the blind
Foley weather forecast calls for cloudy and rain tonight-- and rain about shooting time
Hopefully we will have a duck or two in the box when Mr Greenjeans shows up and we go through the ritual of license,ID, magnet for testing the shells and plug check
Funny since he has been a 'visitor' twice during the teal season and everything checked out--
he must like us
Good luck
