If we show up at an address, and there is someone in the house, we are required to call the law. Every time that has happened, the occupants went to jail. You think the neighbors aren't watching that ? You think they aren't related to, or associated with the folks we just sent to jail ?

The problem is, the same two white boys will soon be at another house on that block. Often, we go back to the same address. We've been to some a half a dozen times.

Don't get me wrong, the older folks thank us for boarding up the vacant houses. They're stuck in that environment, and have to make the best of it.

I feel sorry for them, black and white alike.
