I do follow baseball some, and the path to the World Series there at least makes some sense. Well, it used to make more sense before the league divisions, wild card teams, inter-league games, and all that. Two leagues, and whichever teams won the most games in each league played each other for the championship. In college football, I guess sportswriters "rank" the teams based on their opinions. They decide one team is #2, another is #27 - then they play one game and the "bad" team goes and beats the "good" team. With a system like that, I wouldn't think you'd be surprised when that happens. But, it ain't my sport, and I know a lot of people are really into it. Post Extras
