H2ODOG said: Just got back from 5 days in Nodak beating down on fowl. Killed 4 swans total, which was a huge check mark bird for our Mexican friends who came up to hunt with us. They killed honkers too, which they had not done before as well. Had a good time with Naz on our trip and couldn’t have done it without his help to find the birds before we got there. He saved a week of driving, and bey thankful for that
Now time to beat down some birds in all 4 flyways again this fall. Looking forward to an east coast hunt of 3-4 states in December. Maybe this is the year I can finally kill a duck or crane. Not interested in shooting a goose, but a duck I hear is tasty to eat.
They say there are going to be so many ducks in "HomeofToto" that they block the sun when they fly by
The "HomeofToto" boys say it is too crowded to kill any of those ducks but since you like a challenge......you might drag up in that direction
just sayin
I am going to try to stay out of that state. Texas and Oklahoma seem like a better fit. Less folks and less headaches. I am looking forward to the east coast trip. South Jersey for some sea ducks, brants and other misc. trash ducks. 3 days in Maryland for more sea ducks, then finishing up with a decoy carver for black ducks on some backwater saltmarsh sloughs. Might hit NC with some old friends before we head back.
The Decoy museums in Havre de Grace is something I've always wanted to hit. Looking forward to that part of the trip, just as much as the hunting. I do know I'll probably have to drag Grief into a marsh on some public lands in a state as well. Can't remember which one, but I imagine it will be some good times. Foots will be with us, so IYKYN. He might make an East Coast trip too.
Sounds like a greeat plan
Yep.....that Foots gets around pretty good these days
