when the entire starting pitching sucks (plus most of the relievers), gotta start looking hard at the pitching philosophy and coaches...
heard an interview with David Eckstein earlier in the year. he was talking about how a lot of the players in the mlb have their own "private" hitting coaches these days, so the mlb club hitting coaches are trying to take what the private coaches are emphasizing, and trying to apply it daily on their own, within the club's philosophy.. what a chit show.. no wonder there's so much dysfunction
