I just have never been a fan of trout. But, I have never filleted and fried them either. Always did some type of bake or grill. Dealing with the bones really wasn't my issue, I just didn't care for the taste of the meat. Always seemed mushy and an off flavor. Does battering them and frying firm them up any?
