About 90% sure it was not a snowy owl but I was 95% sure Barack Obama wouldn't win the White House once, much less twice. We have plenty of owls out our way and I'm pretty sure I would have Id'd it as an owl from that distance...

Unfortunately, my only sidekicks were an 11 and 6 year-old, on the way home from school and I did not have my field glasses (I'm told that's what birders call binoculars and I want to sound sophisticated). It was on Church Rd., halfway between the 90 degree turn and Freymuth Rd. We see an eagle there at least once a week, sometimes 2-3 times a week. The eagle and various hawks love the trees that start on the crest of Church Rd. and go to the North. The first tree is a big dead or dying tree, right by the road. Not hard to find.

Thanks

Trying to decide if I want to head for Two Rivers or BK, Cannon or go big and head to Mound City where they have around 1200 swans and 70 k of white sky rats
