Actually I do. Jim Martin helped him get that Chessie - Jim's wife (the second one) went to church with a woman who went to Mexico on a mission trip. She got stung by a mosquito in a "not so pleasant area" and ended up at a medical tent in the village they were staying at.
The cooch doctor there had a brother who had a gambling problem. He knew a another guy he met at the casino and that was him.

Nothing at all wrong with getting paid to drink and fish. I do it all the time at work.......just not a Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoff's when the Blouse are in it. Might be another 50 years before it happens again.

Whelp.... time for some laststandpontificating.

As I see it after two games, and if I HAD to say how/what I see coming it's pretty dang close.
But I am afraid it's the Bruins who still hold the edge. Injuries go to Bruins, POTENTIAL scoring goes to Bruins and the experience factor will get bigger and bigger as the series continues. I expect to see Bostons best effort tonight and i hope the Blues can match it.
The Blues simply cannot afford any more game #1 type energy. I don't expect that even though there is still 5 games remaining, but they may have another stinker in them.
Secondly and more notably, I think this series will now be up to Jordan Binnington. It took OT to beat the Bruins after dominating them, but neither of their goals would have been scored on Binner if he is playing his best, as he did manage to do after the first period.
Love everything about this kid. It's been an unreal experience rooting for him as he has led this team from the box. Can't ask for more from him but I do know he is asking for more of himself for fact.
Get this series to 2-2. That's trick #1. If they get it to 2-2, I think the edge, the psychology, all of it, will be truly even. Binner will have to compensate for some of the advantages that go to Boston. Not afraid of that, but I think it's fact and in many ways it is totally appropriate to have the pressure and expectations go to the kid that has brung us here and stunned the world of hockey in the process.
It's been an unreal 5 months of hockey. 2 more weeks seems like an eternity.

I don't agree.
I think Binnington will be who he is....which is plenty good enough and ONE of the main reasons they are here.....but Berube will be the true difference in this series....and the Blubs will be the Blubs no more!

Well it's a pot shot for both of us dude. I'm not going to argue what Chief means to this team. Pretty sure I told you about it in January. bwaaaaaaaaa
Whether it's Binner or Berube or who ever we want to say is the "difference"....it takes all 21 to get this done and it takes all 21 to do their jobs at their best to allow one or two to be the difference.
I'm guessing to win the Cup, Binner will have to stand on his head more than once.

That he needed to do better and he would do what he could with that.

Good to see he knew how to put his mask back on. Blouse better dig deep if they plan to win this one. Looks like I better go find a $125 bottle of good bourbon in my bunker and dig out 5 cigars to send to Maine. I see a loss coming for my bet. Cost me the same in 2006 when the Redbirds lost to BOston.

Hard to imagine supposed Blues fans being so gleeful about a loss and potentially not winning the Cup. But I guess that what you get when you've put all your eggs in the I-hate-half-of-this-team basket and would rather they lose, so you can say I-told-you-so than seeing a Cup hoisted. Glad I'm not that sort of fan...
Again, just enjoying the run. Binnington's performance was not stellar but was far from the reason they lost that game. My guess is he'll perform just fine in Game #4, so long as the team in front of him plays a more solid game. Contrary to what I've heard a few of the talking heads say, this game tonight is do-or-die. If they go down 3-1 against Boston, they're chances of winning three in a row are as close to nonexistent as you can get without being nonexistent. If they win tonight, they're still underdogs but will have a reasonable chance of pulling it off.
Boston is a damn good team and has some Cup experience. It shows. More importantly, the Blues do not have any Cup experience and it really showed in game #3. The hype was over the top and they simply deflated when Boston scored the first goal. That was the direct result of letting the situation get to them. Almost immediately, the forecheck was nonexistent, the gap closures lessened and Boston was able to skate into the offensive zone and the whole team was generally playing on their heels. Part of being human I guess. Or as our resident Blues haters would say, they are gutless and have no heart/character. Either way, they need to pour it on for 60 mins tonight. Otherwise a few of our resident posters will get their way and be able to say I-told-you-so!!

It won't show up on the "3 stars"....but that game goes to the Blues defense! Dunn was a monster with his jaw wired shut.....Petro and Gunnarsson +3 and +2. Paryako and Bowmeester on their game!
Sanford in place of Fabri gets honorable mention.....great call by the Chief!
