That's the same dude that said NOW is the time for the Redskins to change their name. That's all I need to know about that Politically correct beardedclam
Cards won season matchup 4-2. Stats say the Cardinals were the best team. Cardinals are 50-36 all time vs Royals in interleague play. Did in your post season game you like to count and you are still down 10 games.

Haters gonna hate.. And BTW you've done a good job of training Joe Buck as a hater as well. Listening to him the last two years rave about the Royals opponents, it's a wonder the Royals have won at all... And here is a couple right back atcha!

Joe sniff, sniff, sniff Buck won't say how sniff, sniff, sniff great our team is every sniff, sniff, sniff inning. We're not happy sniff, sniff, sniff just to win and be going to the sniff, sniff, sniff World Series. We need everyone to tell us how great sniff, sniff, sniff we are. And if they even dare pay a sniff, sniff, sniff compliment to the opponent, well, sniff, sniff, sniff that just means they don't sniff, sniff, sniff like us even more...

I still love you Suze....the basement is open whenever you are in town
Lovers gonna love....haters gonna hate....and the tweeners will always be somewhere in between. What matters most is the World will be watching KC come Tuesday night with home field advantage.
Like them or don't like them either way you have to give props to the Blue Jays for a damn good series. There were games where they beat up on the Royals, games where the Royals beat up on them and games that were back and forth like last night. Goins was a vacuum all series for them at 2nd - Pillar was solid at center and Revere made one of the best catches of the year in left to take away an extra base hit/rbi from Perez last night. Bautista was seeing the ball last night, that is for sure.....but no you all can go back to Canada!!
Happy Saturday to all of you lovely Cafer's

Hmmm.. I distinctly remember a lot of Cardinals fans with very similar complaints in the past about McCarver, Joe Buck, etc.. but of course because of it being the Cardinals then it obviously then isn't whining.. Got it!

The boys have every reason to gloat. I would too if it was The Jays. It was a good year for them. It's just not the only year, and they will be back next year. Pretty happy about that.
Mel, here's a book about baseball's long history up here.
Tim, you can't expect a history buff, to believe a kid in the stands who looks more like Abe Lincoln, than Abe Lincoln himself, can you?
That's real life, you can't make this up.

Please Dabs. There was one good baseball game the rest were yawners. And the Jays tanked.
I think the Royals have a really good team. I like the fact they play good D, always have had a love for that aspect of the game and I like to see teams with Good D and speed do well. It's a shame they fork it all up with the DH.
But mainly I take nothing away from the Royals.
But I'll be rooting for the Mets.
Not easy to do, they are NY dwellers and usually that's all it takes. But the DH is a joke so I don't want to root for a team that uses it. Then Cueto sucks and fork him all the way to hell and lastly I did not need it for this but that home run call going your way was ridiculous. Just having a fan that forking dumb alone should have canceled that sucker.
So, basically, I hope the team that plays real baseball for 162 games wins.

Well then...if I was you I probably wouldn't go through the misery of watching the series then since an American League team is playing in and has a DH. Or just watch the games played in New York.....maybe you can spend the time that frees up reorganizing the boat building forum.

I am home. This is my Mom's house, and the banner goes out from the moment The Jays have a playoff berth. That would be the same time my Dad gets out his Back 2 Back Championship jacket.
"It ain't over, until it's over." and it is, and I thank the stars up above, because all this T.V. is messing with my sleep schedule.
We just ran 4 cars earlier this month at an auction, and we've got 5 more to get gone this weekend.
Buh-bye, Boys of Summer.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I will watch a dh hitter.
I always want to see if he can make it to the plate.

I'm still chuckling about that call. Perfectly understandable for the initial call. However, it will go down as one of the world's great mysteries how they forked that call up so badly with access to replay.

I agree Tim that Zobrist is a big deal. K. Morales has been a surprise and a model DH.
As for Gordo heading to greener pastures, that would absolutely "gut" a stadium full of Midwestern fans. But not sayin' he couldn't or won't. When is his contract up?
Cueto won't last long. He'll help the Royals take the Series and he'll be down the road.
So I am sayin' the Royals are 50:50 odds to return to the WS."
Just wanted to remind you Royals haters and non-believers of my above post.
Looks like I shoulda pressed for some takers....but seeing the Royals back is what I'd hoped!!!

Prepare to be gutted then. Gordon's contract has a player option for 2016. Why play in KC for $12.5 million when the open market will pay way more. KC will hope for the hometown discount, but those days are over. At $100 million without 2 outfielders and 7 more players, KC ownership will have to dig deep, which is something they have never done. Until KC puts a tons of asses in the seats, in a 3rd or 4th place year, they won't spend the money year in and out for no return.
