51 A lot those squandered chances would come back to haunt them. Excellent pitching and defense again. And another late BOMB from Salve. Going for the sweep tomorrow!

50 Royals played an all-around solid game. Should be a fun series this weekend.

I say let 'em enjoy it. After being the AAAA farm club for the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, etc. for so many years, it's fun to watch them bask in their new found glory... Granted, their sort of embarrassing themselves (and MLB) with their inability to control themselves, with this All-Star balloting but that can only help the NL when it comes game time. How sweet the irony would be if the Royals made it back to a game 7 and were the visitors because their own fans couldn't control themselves at the keyboards...
By the way, did anyone notice the Cards swept the Royals this weekend? (need a broom emoticon here)

I am still wondering why the PD is paying Joe Strauss.
Quite honestly, they could get LS or Andy for less and have a better quality commentary than they are getting out of Strauss.
He must be an in law to someone in upper management.

Just saw that Omar Infante is leading in the All Star balloting with the following stats
AVG HR RBI OBP
.210 0 17 .219
Dude................... really?
At least Ned won't have to get creative with the batting order
I think I'll go all in and vote for every Royal on the ballot
Y'all have fun now

I did my voting but not for Infante...no way.
I do want to thank the Cards for their hacking story that broke today. That will shift the focus off the Royals and the All-star Game voting.
WTF, Astros aren't even in the same league. Sheesh!

Yeah
Appears somebody doesn't like Luhnow besides Walt Jocketty
I do know Kim Jong-un is not impressed with an all KC All Star team or any amateur hacking.

46 Ned passes the White Rat for most wins for a Royals manager.

Yost has a 411-427 (838 total games)record as Royals manager.
.490 record
The White Rat has a 410-304 (714 total games)record as Royals manager with three consecutive playoff appearances from 1976 to 1978.
.574 record
I wouldn't be looking for a trip for Ned to Coopersville just yet but congrats anyway.

Master Wu, I never said that Yost was a better manager. I think the Rat is one of the best ever. I was just noting the number of wins. However in regards to overall Royals records, Yost had some teams seriously lacking in talent and/or experience in his first few years. It is funny how both locally and nationally he has gone from being dumber than a bag of hammers to someone admired in two years or so. The local sports talk "experts" we're trying to get Yost run out of town about a year ago. "What have you done for me lately" works both ways.

Whats the deal with all-star votes?
Getting dressed for work and GMA just did a quick piece about it being on-line votes only and Royals fans hacked it and loaded it up with 8 players in the lead.Something about Enfante having the most votes?

Mister Tim
No problem here
Managers hired to be fired
Look at Joe Torre when he was managing the Cards and when he was managing the Spankees--
Ned ain't a bad manager-- had good teams in Milwaukee but La Russa kicked his butt just about every year and they got tired of being also rans-- they fired him Look where the Brewers are now
and Ned even said that he could have been fired several times over the last 5 years
KC got some talent and Ned hasn't fried his pitching staff and y'all look to be on a roll
Enjoy the ride

Ya gotta love it
Baseball wanted fan votes--- they got fan votes
The Law of Unintended Consequences kicked in big time
If the All Star Game was just an exhibition game -- no biggee but since some genius decided to "make it count"....
Now starting at 2nd base, All Star Omar Infante
That reminds me--got to create a new email address so I can vote for Omar
again

I have three email addresses. I am voting daily for Royals players. This is some funny chit. Curious to see how MLB will deal with it. No chance they are going to let 7 or 8 Royals take the field that night. But man I hope they do...
