Just talked to Fast Man and hebe down in the dumps. Told me his old girl, Dakota, had passed. Said it musta been a stroke Sunday afternoon. She was put to rest this morning. He told me not to post this up but anyone who ever had even a half assed Lab, much less a great one, knows the pain my brutha is feelin tonight, so..............hoist a cold one for Dakota and her dad. Dead at 14, but livin on in anyone who ever hunted over her or lost a much loved dog. She was a peach.

Sorry to hear that Eddie. She was a good ol dog.............hate that they don't live longer. Hope she had a good start to the season and you got to enjoy some of her last days in a blind sharing a sunrise.

Dakota earned the right to sit this season out.
She was laying in the sun yesterday, and could see me from across the street. She wagged her tail, and put her ears back, showing the good hearted nature she's always shown to a friend.
I wish I would have walked over there and scratched her ears.
She was never my dog, but always my friend.
Rest in peace, Koko.

I always enjoyed the times I got to hunt over her....she was a pleasure to be around.
Koko was always game.....she was "that good of a dog".

Eddie, you did good brother. You gave her the life that all good dawgs deserve.
Her gift was more than just being a good dog, it was leaving you all those great memories to pass along to others. So keep your chin up brother, because she'll always be with ya now!

Fastman, sorry to hear about Dakota. We had to put our lab to dog heaven last year and it was a tough day for sure so we understand your loss. You love 'em while we have 'em and remember them when they leave us. You'll never forget that pup as long as you live.

What I'll remember about her most is her retrieving the boys doves at Dovestock.
Eddie sorry to hear of her passing. The pain of losing my black dawg in March is still fresh. I hoisted some crown in her honor last night.

Damn Eddie - Sorry to hear of Dakota's passing. Really enjoyed hunting over her at Dovestock. One of my favorite dogs that I have been around. Now your Dakota will be running with mine. We'll hunt em together someday.

Eddie, I'm not sure I ever saw your dog but just knowing you tells me you did things right. I'm sure you had one hell of an attachment to that critter. Very sorry for your loss of a family member.
