That's why WE wanted him. 4 years ago.
Caps now? Good luck.

If the Blues win the Stanley Cup this year I think we should build a new bridge and put Miller's name on it.
We always need another bridge.

I was going to suggest that the next bridge be known as The Sportsman and Last Stand Span
It wouldn't even need lighting since you two are so bright

Well Wu.......one side would be lit up, ready to go and smooth as a baby's bottom.
The other side would be stuck in the mud still driving piers sideways......no Captain, no Project Manager on site......while rumor has it somebody is still sitting on the fence looking for a leader with the right kind of pedigree to build his bridge.

I have to say that I believe last night was the first time I saw a goal awarded where the puck didn't go anywhere near the net...

Oh yeah and congrats to the Note for going over 100 points last night. Only the 6th time in team history.

The Blues appear to be one goalie away from winning the cup.....hopefully they can find one before the payoffs start.

Yes, he really let his team down didn't he?
No fore check.
No back check.
Did not hit anybody.
All his shots went wide.
Weak at the blue line
Weak in the neutral zone
Didn't clear Petro or Jackman out of his way to make the deflected saves. Should have been a snap, they were just standing there....all he needed to do was shove them.
He was terrible. Bring back the midget. I don't care if he does have the flue...get him back here....we are lost with out him. I want the midget!!

I have been somewhat of a Jackman apologist but he was absolutely awful last night.

Dude....that is EXACTLY what could be said for every game that Halak or Elliot lost.....this is a great team, and sometimes they run around like idiots.
My gig at the "miracle goalie" is because you guys seem to think he is some savior above and beyond what we had.....he's not. And so far, from what I can tell, it's no wonder Buffalo let Ott go.....he's got nothing.

Yeah they are so much alike you had to wait 3 weeks before you could rip on the trade.
Elliott? Great back up. Glad we have him. He'll likely be gone from this team next year, but I don't see him starting anywhere in the league, do you?
You like Halak. I get that. But these two are night and day apart in a whole lot of ways. Hitchcock agrees and obviously so does DA, the guy who brought him here and stood by him for 4 years. It must have been tough to ship him out. His biggest supporter.
Splain that.
One city thrilled, another city sad. Splain that.
It wasn't because he never played well. He could do that. It's because he was inconsistent. Sick. Hurt. Head case. And lord knows he had his shot. Four forkin years. Always something to keep him from actually contributing when it counted most.
Playing better and more consistent than Halak doesn't make you a Savior, it just makes you better and more consistent than Halak.
And that's why two smart guys shipped him out.

Dude.....I have said this before and I'll say it again ELLIOT SHOULD BE THE #1 GOALIE!! I have no idea what Hitchcock's problem with him is......but he is, and has been, the best goalie on the team.

Good question. Why does Hitch have Elliott on the pine?
He's on the bench because he's a great back up.
He's on the team because Halak, attitude and all, would have been a terrible back up.
He's been our #1 multiple times always to have inevitably fallen apart and sent back to the bench.
He got 3 games into the Kings series last April playing great and then pretty much lost his edge. Did the same thing the year before.
They tried to move him all last summer and couldn't. No one saw him as a starter or wanted his contract for his play.
You're at odds with a lot of hockey people. You rank them Elliott, Halak and then Miller? Really? I'm ok with that, but please.........at the first sign of daylight......for your own good.....put down the forkin crack pipe.

Yeah, I know......I'm at odds with all the people who apparently can't see that Elliot has the second best GAA in hockey.
I think Elliot is a #1.....and I don't consider you to be "hockey people".

Never said I was. But heh, since you are so tuned in to them hockey peoples, put a few names up who want Ell's to be their #1.
At least you're off the Halak wagon. That was a short ride.

That was a very good win. I have to say in this game Elliott looked like a #1. Excellent defense by the whole team. I am worried about the lack of scoring punch lately...
