Unc it is a great movie have not had to pleasure of viewing it for years. I love the used carlot part where he drives off like a bat out of hell stealing the car. It was one of my Dad's favorites we would watch it everytime it was on
Dean it was an easy one but most the good quotes of that movie are. An instant classic movie, we used to watch that every night for about 6months after we got home from the bar.

It's from one of my favorite movies - "Death Hunt" with Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin. If you haven't seen that movie, it's worth renting.

Now that ya mention it...That is a great movie!
I think my favoritis part is when Bronson digs out the floor in his cabin, and them MoFo's fire through the walls with a bezillon rounds, and then the dumbasses run through the door, and WHAMMO...they get a little surprise!!!
And the quote? Now I remember where I done heard it a'fore!!!

There's another all-time favorite Clint Eastwood line of mine. It's from one of his "spaghetti westerns", I don't know the name of the movie. Maybe you do?
Eastwood has been riding for days alone across the desert. He rides into a town all dirty, scroungy, quiet, and mean (as usual).
He goes straight to a saloon and gets a bottle of whiskey, rents a room upstairs, and pays the bartender for a girl to come up.
Up in the room he's sitting on the bed. There's an oil lamp on the table. He takes off his boots, and the girl comes in.
She says: "Well, how do you want it, cowboy?"
"Without conversation."
And he blows out the lamp.

Old R. Lee Ermey (the D.I. in Full Metal Jacket), besides being a Movie Star nowadays, also owns a car dealership in Barstow CA...or maybe he sold it by now? But can you imagine buyin' a car from him????
I met another ex-Marine who had served with Ermey as a D.I., and he told me some great stories...R. Lee is fully as "colorful" in real life as he has been in a coupla his movies, leastways, according to them stories!

They don't build characters in movies, like they used to, or at the very least, they omit nuances, and faults that make them funny and human. It's the same with music. How many good character stories are sung, any longer?
Look at the uproar made over "Baby, It's Cold Outside".
And, it's because they can't put the words, into the context of the time it was written.
