Did Mo do enough in the offseason. He went after some good pitching.......and he also went after some old pitching and players. The 20024 Season could be sponsored by AARP.
Did he get enough players to make it happen or do they struggle to make a run into the playoffs?? Looking at the roster, I'd say we need to buy tickets now to the 2014 World Series.:rotflmao:
I still say 90 game winner and they make the playoffs. Mo and company will be on the hot seat if they aren't in 1st place by end of May. Maybe having Yadi back with help Oli out, but if they struggle, I see him gettiing fired and replaced by Yadi mid season.

Oh ya......since Mikey Mike is back here. FORK the Cubs.
And while we are at it.....Fork the Royals. New Money is worse than old money apparently.

This line-up and defense can absolutely be of playoff caliber. This pitching, not so much...
And this is why I don't gamble. As sure as I am this pitching staff is sub-par, thy will go out and win 90 games. I can't see it, but then again, I couldn't see a senile old man winning the Presidency by sitting in his basement and letting his opponent self-destruct...

I say @ most 80 game winner. Marmot is just horrible. Bout the only bright spots so far is shortstop..& late inning relief. Sad to see this bunch compared to all the gr8 teams players & managers of the past!

This team is mostly painful to watch and I'm not seeing much hope for a big improvement. The Manager is in waaaay over his head, and I suspect he will not make it much longer, unless they go on a winning streak.
It looks like it is going to be another loooooong season.

i fully believe a starting pitcher could be throwing a no-hitter thru 6 innings, with 50 pitches thrown and marmol would pull him..
he has napoleon syndrome badly and rightfully so, after watching him manage, i'm sure tons of people question his moves nonstop.
like him or hate him, at least you knew larussa was going to put a team on the field that would compete. i can't say that about oliver.

Let's all remember....Marmol is here because.....MO HIRED HIM.... after FIRING a guy.... who got them into the play offs.
I can't remember...have they gotten back since?
It's Bizarro World.
This is about MO folks....not just the manager but the roster as well.
Maybe they turn it around but if not......there's only one guy that owns it more than any other.

You pretty well nailed it
Problem is Mo makes DeWallet money and as long as Cardinal games are considered social gatherings for the elite to meet and greet ………
I doubt much will happen on the field

i agree wu, the cards have a very loyal fanbase and it seems like the owners know that and might be taking advantage of it.
regarding mozeliak, could you imagine that guy being your motivational coach?
what a depressing person.. i wonder if he talks monotone and gives the same cliche quotes in small talk in private?
btw, what methods are you all watching the games these days?

I've defended Mo as long as I can. He and Oli need to be replaced by the weekend. If not, this team will be out of the race by June 1st.

I think the race is over now.
If the El Birdoz could win 75 games from here on out...might get um in. That is highly I mean very very very unlikely. After seeing some of greats of the 50's 60's & 70's and afew after that..in pains me to my core to watch this latest bunch!

Nahhhhhhh. new Money just gives you a championship once every 3 decades followed by years of 100 loss seasons. I’ll take old money. Drought I just comes a few times in a lifetime, instead of success a few times in a life. Enjoy it………another 100 loss season is just around the corner, as it always is in KC

I'm still sporting my 2014-2015 swag...might have to open up the wallet and get something new this year...looking like they might win more than 62

They should win more than 62..........one year after losing 100 plus, which happens a few times each decade.

6 games over .500.
Wasn't sure a month ago I'd see that.
They gonna choke on this or move forward?
