The Royals gave all season ticket holders, or a selected proxy, the opportunity today to “hit for their tickets”.
Each person got five pitches to attempt to put one out. If you put one out, you received up to a $10,000.00 credit on your season tickets.
I do not have a clue how many people hit - my guess would be 600 or so - but according to the Royals Snapchat page there were three home runs hit.
Here is video of the third one - one pitch, one 375ish ft dinger good for $10,000.00 off of season tickets. It landed 17 rows up just right of the bullpen. - 7 rows into the second section of seats.

That's absolutely awesome dude!!
Keep him on track......it's a battle of attrition at that age. I followed 7 kids that Grif was buddies with and were at the top of the game in HS running while they were there.....3 are left as college Jr's. Griffin is still in there.....but he's had to fight for it here and there.
Keep him in the game!!

It is a grind.....there has been a hiccup or two along the way and one of them cost him lots of opportunity...but it came down to ethics and trust and he made a choice that he felt was what he needed to do. I respect him for that and he moves on to the next opportunity and knows the grind will only get tougher.
One game at a time...one pitch at a time.
