Remember her being a little pup - not a grey muzzled lady.
Sure the two of you made plenty of memories together

Sorry to hear of her passing. Nothing leaves a hole in your soul like saying good bye to your hunting partner. Just relish all of the great experiences and stories that are also a part of you now...

Damn, G. I'm truly sorry to hear that, brother.
I too remember her as a young punk. I believe I was there for her first " big time " hunt. That was a special day in that river blind.
No question, she was a fine dog and a great friend.
Hang in there, man.

Appreciate all the kind thoughts everyone. There is no need for sympathy because I know most of you have been in the same spot.
I'm glad she left a few of you with some good memories. I reckon that's what a good dog does.
Thanks, Garrett

I'm sorry Garrett. I remember that day out at Busch with her and Rainy, when they were both pups, like it was yesterday. Rainy is 10 next month. I don't know where the years are going.
Take care.

Duko, one thing is a fer sure, and that is, your pup will always be alive in your heart and mind---Hell, I put down my bestest Chessie ever in '01, and when I look at photos of him, or think about our really perfect friendship, I do indeed get misty eyed all these years' later. Therefore, they never do "die" near as I figger, and they are forever there for you, me, or anyone who has ever lost one of the bestest, and purist friends a man can have in this world---and ya do know, some of them Touchy-Feely, Other Dimension spouting people swear up and down that there IS a Doggie Heaven, and we will all meet 'em there again once we check out of this Earthy Plane---Which sounds pretty damn good to me, if there is any "good" at all about taking us a Dirt Nap eventually...
