NAYLOR, Mo. • Police in southeast Missouri say a man gave a blunt answer for shooting his wife: He was tired of her.

The Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic reports that 59-year-old Bobby S. Leonard of Naylor is facing assault and armed criminal action charges for the shooting that happened Saturday morning.

A Ripley County deputy was called to a home and found Carolyn Leonard prone on the front porch, covered in blood. She told authorities that her husband shot her. When Bobby Leonard came outside, he was arrested.

The deputy asked what happened. Leonard allegedly responded, "I got tired of her and shot her."

Carolyn Leonard is in stable condition.

I really thought in the past 50 minutes this would garner more attention by the women folk on here... After all, all the feller probably wanted was for his ol' lady to fetch him up a beer. One of these days she'll learn not to piss off ol' Bobby..

I hope this clears this up for you guys:

No dictionary has ever been able to satisfactorily define the difference between "complete" and "finished." However, during a recent linguistic conference, held in London, England, and attended by some of the best linguists in the world, Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese linguist, was the presenter when he was asked to make that very distinction.

The question put to him by a colleague in the erudite audience was this: “Some say there is no difference between ‘complete’ and ‘finished.’ Please explain the difference in a way that is easy to understand.”

Mr. Balgobin’s response: “When you marry the right woman, you are ‘complete.’ If you marry the wrong woman, you are ‘finished.’ And, if the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are ‘completely finished.’”

His answer received a five minute standing ovation.

--------------------

He may have been told, before this, that he was: "Completely Finished".

Obviously, the sandwiches left something to be desired.
