..their first player on the major league roster? With the loss to the Astros last night they will have lost 3 series in a row. 10-14 for the month. Now in fourth place and 6.5 games back of Detroit. Do we start the countdown til James Shields gets traded? What other players are even useful as trade bait? Holland? I say if they are 10 games back on 7/1/14 they will start trading.
And yes I think both Dayton Moore and Ned "Braindead" Yost should be fired.

4 - 0 after two innings. That is a huge mountain to climb for the Royals anemic offense. Wow! Looks like they are going to be swept by the Astros! Really?

do you really think the Glass family will fire people who have millions of dollars left on their contracts?
Do the Royals need a kick-ass closer, not at all. Trade him Do the Royals need an ace who stays healthy, yes they do. They need a locker room leader someone to mold and impress upon the younger pitching staff.
Yost is probably the best manager they have had in two decades. I believe he and the GM are restrained by the ownership more than anything. Puppet masters pulling strings and getting their feelings hurt when people tell the truth. Ever wonder why Seitzer and White were fired? Both of them were winners who know how to win and teach people to win, they were both just too vocal about it. The truth sometimes hurts and the Glass family is just to weak to admit they are horrible owners.

Well if BrainDead ned is the best then the bar is pretty low. Career managerial stats:
11 years 765 wins 859 losses .471 win% 3.8 avg finish in div
Ned is not a winner as far as I can see. As far as Moore look at the first round draft picks since he has been here. A terrible track record in my book.

I think Hosmer, Aoki, Butler, and Moustakas should all be dangled out there just to see if anyone is interested. And, if you get enough value you could try Holland also. Something HAS to change.

from espn: Quote:
"HomeofToto" CITY, Mo. -- The Royals shook up their coaching staff Thursday in an attempt to jump start their failing offense.
Sveum is the fifth hitting coach the Royals have had in less than three seasons.
The Royals let go of Kevin Seitzer two years ago in the hopes that somebody else would help the club generate more power. Seitzer was eventually hired by the Blue Jays, who currently lead the majors with 76 homers -- more than "HomeofToto" City is on pace for all season.

I would be in favor of any trade that involves Rex Hudler.
