I saw where the team who played best, with a "premier" goalie, had the game stolen by a second tier goalie.

I didn't see chit but heard if you give up a soft goal and then fail to score any goals you will lose.
Sure feels like we have to steal one in Chicago. Easier said than done.

I'm sure glad we got Miller.....he will surely lead us to the cup.
The Blues are playing good.....Miller is adequate at best.
Ott has played decently, Miller is a disappointment overall. Crawford is clearly better in this series.

Miller is playing adequate.
He has been disappointing over all.
Crawford may get a slight edge so far. It is very slight.
But sorry, the Blues did not play well last night for huge segments of time, particularly with the lead and 7 to go and then of course in OT.
We hung back and waited to get beat in regulation. Barely survived a loss there.
And in the OT Kane literally walked in 4 times like he was some kind of prophet.
All and all it's been a great series, imo the best going on right now. Look around at the other games, the other play, and we stack up pretty good.
We. Need. David. Backes.

The Blues could and should be up 3-1, if Miller plays the way we all (except griffin) thought he could. We needed him to help steal a game in Chicago and all we got was Halak-like performances.
Holding close leads has been an issue for the Blues. They just haven't seemed to learn how to put their foot on the throat of an opponent and finish them off. Up by a goal with 7 mins to go should be a done deal. They should have turned up the pressure, the hitting, the forechecking and generally shut the Hawks down with aggressive play. Instead, they play back on their heels and try not to lose. It reminds me of the prevent defense in football. It is fastest way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory I can think of.
I have to wonder if Backes is done for the year and this "upper body injury" talk is just to distract everyone. It wouldn't surprise me. I hope that isn't the case but it seems to happen regularly in sports these days.
Go blue!

HA!!! They could just as easily be swept and done. Miller is not impressive at all. But he's playing about as well as he did in Buffalo so not really a surprise.

Personally, I never called Miller elite.
I just said he's better than Halak, which he is.
You wanna think we are 2-2 with 3 OT games using the midget in goal fine with me. I don't waste my time dreaming about such things. bwaaaaaaaaaaaa
There are a ton of issues surrounding the Blues great play and yeah, there lackluster play.
Goalie is just one of them.
Berglund and Oshie have been back for two games now. Time to contribute.
Backes isn't there to work Kane and Towes. Time for others, including our D, to contribute.
Sobi's doing his best but obviously no where near 100% healthy.
Where's Jbo been? I mean....on offense.
And our leading scorer, Steen, needs to score.
The whole 4th line, the youngsters Schwartz and Tarasenko, and a few of the older guys Lappy and Ott are doing their thing and playing well.
With Backes out we need the other best players to play their best.
And don't forget who we are playing against. These guys are a damn good hockey team. We are banged up and people need to step up and fill in to beat a team like Chicago.

I bet there wasn't a single person in that building who thought Miller had a chance to make the save against Toews and prevent the game winning goal.
Miller is the last piece of the puzzle to get us to the cup!!!!!!
Nevermind that the puzzle was already the #1 team in hockey before he got here..... just stupid as hell.

There is no mystery here. When the Cardinals win a game........the Blues win the same day. The stats will bear out my theory.
God I hate that muthaforker announcing the Blues game. Oh year, and Miller too.

This team just lacks grit and playoff toughness. The Hawks played like they wanted to win the Cup again. The Blues played like it would be nice but really isn't all that important. The core group on this team has now lost 8 straight road playoffs games. Was any player on the Hawks intimidated in any way shape or form? Clearly some of the Blues were. I guess the Blues just don't have that extra gear that is needed for the NHL playoffs. Does Hitchcock get some of the blame for that? Hard to give him a pass...
I'm sure griffin will continue his bizarre rant bout "worst trade in all of sports history." But let's be real. Miller was a disappointment but hardly the reason for this collapse. There isn't a sane person Earth that honestly thinks the Blues would have won this series with Halak or Elliott between the pipes. The bottom line is the players that needed to step up and score, just didn't.
Until they prove otherwise, the Blues are the Cubs of the NHL.

Andy, give me a friggin' break with this crap. The Blues were 4-0 against the Hawks this season with Elliot and Halak. Miller sucks......he's a backup goalie on a USA team that isn't that good.
Now the Blues will be lucky to sign Elliott and why the hell would you want to sign Miller?
Miller was more than a disappointment......he sucked, period. He flops around like he doesn't have a clue, can't play an angle, and can't anticipate a pass.....if they sign his dumb arse they will only make a bad situation worse. Maybe there was a day Miller could play goal.....that day is gone, and shame on the Blues scouts for not seeing it. It's not like he played any different than he did this year in Buffalo.
Piss on the Blue's dumbass management.

I'll agree with Sptsman and Lastand. Miller wasn't brilliant, or even good for sure, but hardly the reason they lost the last 4 straight. When you are 0-7 on the power play as they were tonight -- you can't put that on the goalie. He11, even when it was even-strength tonight it sure seemed like the Hawks had the powerplay . . . . and they didn't! Injuries wore this team down and they didn't have anything left in the tank. The better team won, even if they did play dirty and cheat to get there.

Then you don't agree with LS and Sptsman.....they've made it very clear that you can't win in the playoffs unless you have a goalie who is AT LEAST good......we didn't. Our goalie sucked.

The problem I have with all of the folks saying it wasn't Miller's faulty is that those are the same bastages who were hooting that we could now make a cup run JUST BECAUSE WE GOT MILLER. Uhhhh.......no!!! He sucks. The trade sucked!! Management messed with the chemistry of a team who had the best record in hockey! NOBODY DOES THAT!!!!
Wake the fork up!

I'll give Miller the blame for failing to stop the 3 big huge break aways the Hawks scored on all at critical times.
And the soft game losing goal in game #3.
So he was not good enough to carry this team. He didn't do that. He was no different than Halak or Elliott in that regard.
Win 2 then lose 4. Same as last year.
So he gets his share from me.
And the rest of the team gets theirs. So much lacking on offense it's hard to know where to begin. And so many golden opportunities up in smoke.
A transition defense that didn't transition and then turned to butter.
So dead on..... Miller didn't make a difference. Samo samo Blues.
