I say that is a once in a lifetime buck. Wherever that one was taken suggests to me there are some good genetics in the local gene pool. Mighty fine goat.

My buddy from Michigan shot a 14 pt., 225 pounds on my place three years ago. Neighbor's leaser shot a 23 pt. atypical year before last. He got it opening morning, the first time they hunted the woods. It was the largest antlered deer killed in MO that year. Several of the locals had seen the big one on their deer cams. There are pockets of good genes for big antlered deer around. Our place is north of Glasgow where a couple rivers converge making it a natural funnel for the area.
Obviously I don't hunt 'em myself anymore...
