I had to go back and look - but this is listed as the first post in the waterfowl forum showing through a history search...it was December 14, 2005. I think there was about a week of testing prior to going live...but this date should be pretty close to answer your question Last Stand.

The user list, sorted by registered date shows you all signing up on 12/13/05.
Dabs, DJF and Swampy were the first three.
I think I remember someone posting on the MDC site to come over here and get signed up.
