Last Wednesday I shared our blind with a buddy that I introduced to duck hunting forty years ago. It was his 57th birthday.

He said, " you know, it's been too long since it was only us in the blind "

Today, it happened again with friend of about 25 years. He said the same thing. That truly makes me me smile.

It's special thing, this waterfowl hunting. There's nothing else like it,and I sure as hell aren't looking for a replacement.

We are a fortunate lot.
