You tried to post the page, not the pic. The url to use should end with .jpg (or .gif/whatever).

Edit-I just saw your mushroom post, and it looks like a bunch of thumbnails. If you copied the group of links when you first uploaded them, but wanted to post the pics, make sure it's set for Hotlinks For Forums, rather than Thumbnails.
