We got about 30 minutes of rain on the West side and 60-65 mph winds….but it sure got its act together once it got past Columbia.
Haven’t seen anything out of Wu….didnt he move out West of Washington after he retired? Hope him and Molly weren’t in the tornado path as well as I hope everyone else is safe and sound.

We had lots of wind, and on/off rain, but no damage. A few small tree limbs down around the house, and a couple trees out in the woods.
There was a fire somewhere, and the smoke filled the creek bottoms and our front yard. It all blew through fairly quickly though, and I just got a pic of when it cleared the yard.

Rick,
Wu should have been North of some damage, and West of other, same as RB. My buddy Craig, who used to be on here as " cupped and fallin " had a narrow miss in Franklin county.
The old Diamonds cafe at 44 and 100 is gone, and the Mr. Fuel across the highway got smoked pretty badly.
I got some jacked up shingles in front. I will address that tomorrow when they are nice and warm.
I'm happy to know that no one else on here reports damage.

When I was a kid, my parents always stopped there for breakfast on our way to Table Rock. Hate to hear it's gone, even though it's been like a million years since I went there.

when i was younger (high school/college age) and up thru the 2000's, I was fairly ate up with severe weather. I wanted to chase storms before it was popular.
After being involved with joplin for a week straight, i lost all interest in storms.. it was sickening. i didn't take a single picture during that week. folks would send me books, articles, videos of the storm and aftermath and i never looked at any of it.
i hope everyone impacted is okay.

I think that one went north of Treloar and north of us. Don't know where it wound up. It was really blowing and raining hard and then got perfectly quiet. Our weather radio didn't go off, so we didn't get in the basement. We had our phones and rechargeable lantern ready if we lost power but didn't need them

The wind the following Wednesday made short work of the effed up shingles. Got A big fugly red tarp on my roof, placed there by the roofer sent by the insurance company.
I like the idea of a new roof, but not the potential bullshit that dealing with the insurance company may involve. My people in the know tell me I'm good. We'll see,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Years ago, when a storm messed up our shingles, we paid the difference and upgraded to a metal roof. No problems with insurance. (Farm Bureau). I hope yours goes as easily.
