2021 Hummingbirds
      #262789 - 05/04/21 09:37 PM

Just put out 2 of my feeders tonight. I suspect they’ll find them by the weekend and it will be game on...

I haven't seen any yet, but my daughter hasn't put those feeders out yet either.

We are in the thick of it and will be for the next 3+ months. Not quite filling the feeders every day yet but that will come once the natural nectars dry up some more. Looking forward to some of my therapy evenings with a glass of bourbon and the birds buzzing around me.

We had several but they seem to have taken a powder.
Haven't seen one in a week

Let us know when they try to bankrupt the sugar budget

for quite awhile now, been going thru a mess of nectar a day. i put out a half gallon worth yesterday morning at 9am and it was bone dry by 3pm.

they'll drink a quart between 5pm and dark...

between making a gallon of sweet tea every few days and the birds, the sugar market is doing fine..

The little bastages are emptying 3 feeders in less than 8 hours every day. My wife just watches me make the mix and fill the feeders and just shakes her head. She really likes it when I go out of town and remind her to fill the feeders...

Buying sugar by the 5 lb bags now. I see they make a bigger one that looks like 20 or 25 lbs. I would buy one of those but that would make it look like I have a problem...

Some sugar brands are now 4 lbs. We'll have 20 or more of the little buggers off and on all day.

Finally slowing a bit. Getting on the protein now, I suspect and a few may have even left for points South. Who knows? By this time next month the feeders will be in the garage and C&H will be sending me a thank you card. It has been the busiest year to date. I have a video to post but have to remember how to do that
