Last week the turtles were still crossing the driveway;

The babies are growing up. This one comes in the yard almost every day, and sometimes is joined by a sibling and their mom.

Yep, my favorite woodpecker. We don't have as many here as we did at my old place, but I'm always glad to see them.

They love that cedar tree
The juncos,jays,cardinals,finchs,doves and woodpeckers are definitely putting a dent in the sunflowers seeds,peanuts and suet
Got the feeder right at the end of the small deck coming out of the patio door
Bold Rascals when they are hungry plus we have a heat element in the water dealio--- one stop shop LOL

That tree is also handy for me, being right out front. I can sit here at my desk and watch the birds do their thing. We have some nice critter activity out here. In this video, on the right edge of the screen, you can just see the rock ring around the Cedars.

I love seeing them. Sometimes they wander around the front yard during the day, though usually just individuals rather than as a group.

Yep......it is surprising how long the dark eyed juncos hang around after the snow and cold is gone.
I know the male cardinals are super bright tight now at our feeders... I keep telling my self to set up the big lens and camera and photograph them but I am just as content to just watch them Of course I also get to see the woodpeckers jays,nuthatchs,chickadees, house finchs,blue birds and the tufted titmouse hit the feeder for black oil sunflower seeds and peanuts in the shell and our birdbath for a drink of aqua.
Hoping to get some Baltimore Oriels later in the spring and the hummingbirds tend to show up about the same time as the Oriels.
Just a slice of heaven

I've never eaten a junco, but I bet they taste like robins.
I have recently been made aware of fish crows. It seems that they live around here now. I saw / heard one Sunday.

I never heard of a Fish Crow before, and apparently they were discovered/named in 1812.
