The Baseball Hall Of Fame committee has offered Pete Rose an opportunity to be eligible for induction to the Baseball Hall Of Fame.

They have arranged a sprint race of Pete Rose vs Karma.
If Rose wins, he is in.
If he loses, he will be forever denied induction into the Hall.

"I ain't ever met this Karma fella, but I'm still pretty fast for an old white boy. I'm gonna whup his ass like I whupped Joe Morgan's ass" Rose quipped.

No date has been set but sources close to the story say Sunday May 1st looks to be the most likely day for this to happen.

ESPN and FOX Sportsare are now bidding to telecast the race as a lead in to their national broadcast of their Baseball Game of the Week.

Vegas oddsmakers have set a line of 5 to 1 that Rose will lose.

Rose has reportedly bet heavily on this contest.

When asked about any wagering he would do on this race, Rose said that he would only bet on his winning the race.
