We are on an every other day pattern for about the last 3 1/2 weeks on the West Side.....the drought is over and I am ready for wind and sun.
Hard to plant duck corn when there is 2 ft. of water standing and the river is so high we can't get the water off the marsh.

since april 26, we've had 9.75" down in sw corner.
we needed it too. crick in front of the house was very low, for this time of the year, but everything is green and rivers are flowing nicely.

I moved just across the river.....and the storms have lined up on us for 5 weeks straight. Near 17 inches in the last 30 days. That's enough.

Punishment for moving to the state of confusion.
Call up to Cook county. They control everything else, maybe they can pass a law prohibiting you folks from stealing rain from the under served communities.

No punishment for me....I love S. Illinois. I'm never coming back to St. Louis Co. And, my taxes are cheaper here than what they would be in Missouri where I was.

That "buffer" county is suspect in my eyes.....they're coming for your county next. That's the beauty of the area I live in.....it's all ag ground....and it's too expensive right now to develop even if someone wanted to. Still, if it happens, I will sell out and head further South. Same here - but not out of State. Jackson County Missouri decided they were pretty much arbitrarily going to "reassess" the entire County two years ago. Increases in taxes were up more than 80% from the previous year for some.
It has got to the point the AG is investigating and there are multiple law suits. We bought two acres on a small lake that will never be crowded in the next County over and are about a month from the new place being finished.

Cant breathe. Yall can send some of that rain to Mexico. Been here since the first week of March and I've yet to see any damn rain and green grass. Hell.....I"m looking forward to mowing my own grass next week. River might be high, but I'll be fishing regardless. I forgot about Pitbull being in MO. NO wonder chit is forked up like a soup sammich.

Nah.....but I'm not much of a Blues fan anymore. I don't really care much for anybody from GM down in that organization these days.
I watched quite a bit of hockey this year, but maybe only 2 or 3 Blues games. I watched Toronto when I could. I was hoping they'd make a cup run this season....but I think they're gonna miss the window. I don't know of I could name a Nashville player.

Berube may be just what the Dr. ordered for the Leaf's. Lord knows they have some talent. You just wonder if they'll buy-in like the Blues did.
Looking forward to game 7 tonight. I'm not sure I care who wins, but if you put a gun to may head, I'd pick Florida. Mostly want to see a good game and I do like Paul Maurice. If Florida loses, it will have to go down as one of the biggest comebacks & chokes, in the last 50-60 years.
