Old timers always said that iffin' a snappin' turtle clamped down on ya it wouldn't let go until it thundered.

Only way I ever carried them is one hand holdin' the tail, and the other holding the shell directly above it's head. They wanted to bite me real bad, but I didn't figger on lettin' 'em do it.
