114 G's just for entry fees. Driver's share of purse, probably 40%, but if you own & drive your own car, that doesn't apply. This is like the olden days, do the math & try to make some money, without backing from big corporations. You'll see a ton extra cars trying to make Daytona, then not enough cars for races that don't have a big purses, and the big wheels at NASCAR will call up field-fillers, because they advertise a 43 car field to start each race. Hillenberg's already hired the Bodines part-time, because that 'past champion provisional' is going to be worthwhile having this year. The trick is, qualify, ride around for a few laps, then park it, so it doesn't cost much.... I'm guessing, with at least 3 cars, crew and travel, that you could possibly make a million. I haven't sold a car all winter, but my husband would murderize me, just for thinking about it..... |
