Maybe I oughta give Schlafly beers another chance. They've got a bunch of nifty beer styles, but I got ahold of something of theirs a long time ago and formed a bad impression. I got the idea that they brew "sugar beers" with a bunch of adjuncts (corn, corn syrup, corn sugar) taking the place of more expensive barley malt. Same deal as Shiner products, which I avoid. I see that Beer Advocate gives their brews fairly good marks, scoring three-something and sometimes four out of five stars. So maybe I was wrong. What do you guys think about Schlafly beers as per quality? |
