Blessed again by the in-laws with more beer at holiday time. Dogfish Head: Palo Santo Brown -- awesome 12% abv beer. Hints of candy, coffee, caramel... Nice! 120 min IPA - Haven't tried. Supposed to be around 20% abv and costs $10 for a 12 oz bottle!! Burton Baton - Haven't tried World Wide Stout -- Haven't tried. 18% abv.. dear lord ![]() Ska Brewing - Durango, CO -- Ten Pin Porter: Real good porter. Not as meaty as a stout. Some darkened malt, coffee flavors. Sweet finish. Ft Collins Brewing - Rocky Mtn IPA - Great hoppy IPA. Leinenkugel Sampler: Red Lager Amber Lager Creamy Dark Fireside Nut Brown Ale Creamy Dark is by far the best of the bunch. I'm not a big fan of Leinie. Most of their beers are watery and lifeless. With that said, the Dark is a pretty damn good beer. I liken it to beefed up schwartzbier. A little more body than a schwartzbier. No overpowering flavors of coffee or burnt malt like porters & stouts. I can drink this one alone. Most of the others I need to drink with some food to drown out the off flavors that mimic mass produced beer (MillerCoors). The rest are okay. The Fireside is growing on me the more I drink it. ![]() |
