Re: McGwire is at it again

I don't blame him.

The best thing he can do for himself right now is not get wrapped up in the legal fallout that's coming....and he's obviously got an attorney who damn well knows it.

Looks like Landis is guilty....and so is Justin Gatlin, the last Olympic gold medalist in the 100 and the co-holder of the current world record.

So there you have it.......most of the top performances in high-profile sports are tainted, and who knows how long it's been going on. Hell, guys in my high school in the mid 70's tried steroids...they were a part of football for many, many years before this became such as issue...ask Lyle Alzado next time you get killed and get a chance to talk to him.

I remember the womans East German swim team come out of the blue and reek havoc on the swimming world in the 70's and 80's.....all steroid.

There is no reason, at this point, not to make two categories for records and some events. Obviously, you can't have two baseball leagues or two football leagues....but you can damn sure have track and field, swimming, cycling, and many other sports, with two categories.....users and natural. Hell, I'm game to see how far some lunatic can push his body, with drugs and training, in order to see just what the human body is capable of.

The baseball record book is a shambles.....might as well take the stigma out of it and let the guys who used declare that they did....make separate records for them and move on.

Football, weightlifting, all of the strength sports in track and field......all tainted.

It's a damn witch hunt now....and for what??? Who the hell loses if an athlete takes steroids?? Society?? How's that?? Someone explain to me how anyone is worse off then McGuire himself for his abuses??

Making ANY drug illegal is a joke in my mind. The money, time, and lives WASTED on "enforcement" is what's criminal.
