I guess miracles can happen, but I feel very confident that this season is gone. What makes it worse is the damage this F'd up management has done to the likes of so many talented players. If I were Jordan Walker's agent, I would talk him into letting me approach the Cardinals about demanding a trade. This guy is a generational talent and they have screwed him up six ways to Sunday. Same with Gorman and a few of the young pitchers. I have defended Mo for years but the Cardinals need a very large broom to clean out the front office and the coaching staff. They seem to be working under a philosophy that worked years ago but is no longer relevant. Putting together mediocre teams, with an inexperienced Manager, in hopes of squeaking into the playoffs and catching lightening in a bottle is a foolish approach. I don't think I watched any full games this year and only watched parts of 25 or less. This team is painful to watch. They are not prepared to compete every night. This must be what if feels like to be a Cubs fan. |
