Quote: Dawg, nearly every pundit that writes about baseball was saying the Cardinals pitching staff was as good as any in the NL. I'm all for criticizing Mo when it is due but they were in pretty darn good shape at the start of the season. Losing 2 of your top 4 starters is a hit most teams would reel from. Having Mikolas become the Jekyl & Hyde of starting pitchers hasn't helped either. I'll be critical if they don't land some pitching help by the deadline but I'm not goign to throw him under the bus for the off-season pitching decisions. I'll save that for signing Carpenter to an extension... I'm curious what will happen when Carp gets back. How do you justify inserting him into the line-up over Edmand or Munoz? |
