On a two day float on one of our fine Ozark streams. He had never caught a trout, and knew nothing about it. And, it was on his bucket list.

With me handling the canoe and offering a few suggestions, he caught his first trout, and went on to fill his limit. I know he didn't have total confidence that he would even connect.

That afternoon, his smile tickled me more than any trout I've ever landed.
