Caught my first skunk in the traps yesterday. I was almost on top of him before i realized the mud covered animal was not a coon but a skunk with his butt aimed right at me. I just about tripped over myself several times trying to get back out of his way. Killed the skunk by lung shooting him with one of the low powered 22 shells and the skunk didn't spray, thank goodness. Can anyone give me any advise on skinning this? Other than don't poke the stink sac! I thought about freezing him first, then giving it a go.
