Vacation question...
      #251422 - 12/26/15 10:22 AM

Wife got me a trip package for vacation (I think she got it for herself, I'm perfectly happy being a home body)....anyways, I got a more than a few places to chose from but have narrowed it down to Gatlinburg or Williamsburg....

both are appealing for different reasons....Great Smokey National Park for Gatlinburg, different Revolutionary War sites for Williams-burg...can take the trip anytime in the next year...

thoughts? if you have any between killing ducks? is this considered internet scouting and a non-no?

Hold on tight to your wallet in Gatlinburg. Tourist trap USA. Nice place though.

Planning a trip that way myself this summer
Got a new ride ('15 Mustang GT) and I'm gonna do the tail of the dragon with it.
Been a while since I have done the heel-n-toe dance

BUT first the wife has us going to Whitehorse to see the lights end of this month, how do you spell BRRRRR!!!!!

Went there last summer during 4th of July and had a great time. It might be a tourist trap, but the free moonshine and whiskey samplings is mighty fine. If you go to Gatlinburg definitely eat at Cherokee Grill, Mellow Mushroom, or Crockett's Breakfast Camps. The Cades Cove and Laurel Falls are easy places to visit and great to see. I enjoyed myself while there and will visit again. Best small town Independence Parade I have ever been to. They are very proud and patriotic in that parade. Something that Missouri towns lack anymore.
