The inevitable....
      #117571 - 09/25/07 08:15 PM

Well I always knew that somebody with enough cash would eventually put the weed wacker motors into production. This feller seems to have done just that and with the same engine I always talked about using along with a gear box. Good lookin little rig but I think he used too much reduction cuz it barely moves his tiny boat. Wonder where he got the idea

$980.00

Who's Willis? Is the the "what you talkin bout Willis" we hear about around here once in a while?

I notice the contact info takes you straight to an email with no physical location address.

Why don't you post up the complete instructions on the 2.8 to go along with the pics? You are just pizzing away a good retirement plan because you are so charitable.

It says the gear reduction is 3.75:1 way too much reduction. My 1:1 motors aren't very fast but they are faster than his and with a load too. The props I use are the same diameter and pitch. 2:1 is perfect for these things. In any event, I couldn't fathom paying more than a couple hundred dollars for one, this tool wants $980!!! Oh well, some fool will pay it.
